Ewe Flock for 2007 - 2008
|

|

|
Margret, born a twin 4/17/02 came to us from Alan Leighton's "The
Creeks Edge" in South Dakota. Margret carries solid, black, moorit and spotting, she is a farm favorite and
permanent member of the flock and known all over the country now for her "Bette Davis eyes". Margret
has become kind of famous having been the subject of many paintings, she is friendly, gregarious and loves attention. Margret
shows her 25% AI lineage being a granddaughter of AI ram Askur. She has a wonderfully large frame, meaty conformation
and raises fast growing lambs, they're always eating! She is a good mother and milker and has a lambing
record of (1,2,2,2,2). She has very soft medium to fine thel and silky medium thog. Margret has a beautiful
daughter in the flock (Josephine) sired by our AI Heli ram, 198L. For large meaty lambs that Askur X Heli
combination produces fantastic results! Watch for her lambs this spring. Margret was bred with our 2005
National Champion Icelandic ram Jager AI Ram Preston 01P 801R for Spring 2008 lambs

as a yearling raising her lambs with no assistance and has a total lambing record of (2,1,2,1). She is an

AI Ram Mori 02-935
|

|
|
Mori is polled and moorit. Short
and broad neck, good shoulders and conformation. Broad back and very muscled rump. Good leg muscling. Even and good moorit
colour on the fleece, thick and lustrous fleece. Wool quantity well above average. Mori is related to many AI sires and
was mostly been used to produce moorit sheep in a small flock before he was bought to Southram. His progenies have good meat
qualities and Mori is without any doubt one of the best coloured rams ever bought for AI. Southram reports that his BLUP scores are 95 for carcass, 123 for fat grading, 112 meat qualities, 113 for prolifiacy and 112
for milking abilities. He is Homozygous for moorit and carries spotting. Mori hasn't proven himself as father
to daughters so far but considering his pedigree he should produce good daughter's. Mori was bred with Nanna for 2008 lambs.
